How to Delete Your Even Account

At Even, developed by DevApps, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of your account and associated data by following the steps below.

Steps to Request Account Deletion

Open the Even app on your mobile device or access the web app at app.even.uy.
Navigate to Settings by tapping on your profile icon.
Select "Delete Account" from the account settings menu.
Confirm your decision by entering your password and tapping "Delete Account" to finalize the request.

If you are unable to access the app, you can also request account deletion by contacting our support team at support@devapps.uy. Please include your registered email address in the request.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Once your account deletion request is processed, the following data will be permanently removed:

Your profile information (name, email address, profile picture)
All expense groups you created or participated in
All expenses, payments, and settlement records you entered
Receipt images you scanned using the OCR feature
Device identifiers used for push notifications
Any other data associated with your account

Data That May Be Retained

In certain cases, some data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion:

Legal and regulatory compliance: Certain transactional records may be retained for up to 5 years as required by applicable laws and regulations.
Fraud prevention: Anonymized data may be retained to prevent fraudulent activity and maintain the security of the platform.
Group data shared by others: Expenses and groups where other users are participants may retain records of those shared activities. Your name may appear as a participant until other group members remove or replace it.

Processing Time

Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days of the request. During this period, you will no longer have access to your account. The actual data removal from our backup systems may take up to an additional 30 days.
